There’s no doubt about it. I am obsessed with myself. I am one of my favorite topics and, since I think the world revolves around me, I feel it is safe to presume I should be everyone else’s favorite topic as well. Thus, me writing a blog about . . . well, ME seems perfectly reasonable.

I’m Cuban so I’m a salsa dancer and I cha cha on 2.
The first thing I do every morning is make café cubano.
I play timbales.
I love smoking cigars every so often.
I love rum and the darker the better.
(Basically, I’m a total stereotype.)
I take horseback riding lessons every couple of weeks.
I am a huge fan of trying new things.
I love my family and I love my job.
I will always say “yes” to Cuban food.
Of course I can cook. (And yes, I’m good at it.)
I like having dinner for breakfast.
I put M&Ms in my popcorn.
I don’t drink Diet Coke.
My favorite color is orange.
I am a total geek a la Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Firefly, Warehouse 13… to name a few.
I like football, baseball, soccer, and basketball.
I believe high heels are important and that it’s a sin to be seen in public without earrings.

I’m Kikita.

Golden. Goddess.

(or Kiki, for short.) And these are the misadventures of a cute Cuban-American dancing her way through life.
